Call For Papers

We are preparing for the 2021 NJ NENA Conference and Trade Show!

NJ NENA is accepting session proposals for the 2021 NJ NENA Conference and Trade Show taking place at Harrah’s Casino and Resort in Atlantic City in the “Waterfront Conference Center” from November 15 – 17, 2021. If you would like to re-submit your request that was selected for the 2020 Conference, please just send me the name of the Session name and the Speakers name so that I can make sure I already have all the information I need to add it to the proposals.

Does your agency have a best practice or have you handled an unusual call? Are you a vendor and would like to present on an issue or technology that will impact the delivery of 911 services? We would love to hear from you.

Presenting a session at NJ NENA is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with an audience of 9-1-1 professionals eager to gain and share information. It is also your chance to give back to the profession and help inspire, inform, and educate attendees on a variety of important issues.

To ensure your submission received due consideration, please ensure that:

  1. Your proposal is issue-focused, not product-focused:
  2. Title of your session
  3. Your word presentation description must contain a precise objective;
  4. Provide accurate contact information, including phone numbers, email address and mailing address.
  5. Provide the names of any co-presenters with your submission.

Call for papers must be submitted by June 1, 2021. You will be notified if your presentation has been approved. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Judith Hawkins at njnena001@gmail.com.

2021 Bonnie Hueg Memorial Conference Scholarship

The New Jersey Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) offers scholarships to current professionals who might not otherwise be able to attend the NJ NENA Annual Conference. Awards are based on the appropriateness of the educational opportunity related to the applicant’s job, contributions of the applicant to his/her community and to NJ NENA. Scholarships will be awarded to cover the cost of attending the NJ NENA Annual Conference as well as 2 nights in the Conference Hotel. Scholarship recipients MUST be current NENA members.

Bonnie Hueg was a strong proponent of training and training opportunities so it it appropriate that this chance to attend our conference, at no cost, have her name attached to it.
